CARF accreditation

HCRT is the only single service RT provider in the state with CARF accreditation.  HCRT had the honor of receiving this accreditation over 4 years ago.  The survey process assures a comprehensive clinical approach to service delivery as well as high standards for risk management and performance based quality improvement.  Successfully following CARF standards allows HCRT to stand apart as a service provider.

Comprehensive risk and vetting approach to community reintegration

Our CARF accreditation has provided us with a roadmap to tighten up procedures related to clearly documenting the community reintegration goals and process.  All clients have a risk assessment administered upon the start of services.  Then, as appropriate, all environmental community destinations are analyzed and vetted for physical,

Budgeting process for community reintegration and participation

A disabling accident often affects an individual’s ability to earn a consistent wage and have disposable income to spend on their premorbid interests and community involvement.  However, having auto benefits also does not mean that clients have unlimited access to funds and don’t have to budget like the rest of the population.  HCRT works with clients to set a reasonable budget for recreation, leisure and community integration that is functionally focused but makes this a therapeutic goal.  While the company assists with appropriate expenses, we are very conscious of trying to support their therapeutic needs while not providing excessive and inappropriate events.

Skill set of therapists

HCRT has been fortunate over the last 20 years to build a large network of Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists of varying specialties, genders, locations and ages.  This allows us to work towards matching the right therapist with the client.  We can provide a variety of specializations related to adaptive sports, aquatics, behavioral and fitness specialists while matching the client’s schedule and the closest therapist.
