Riley Reinholtz

Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist

Riley graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 2019 with a Bachelor's of Science in Therapeutic Recreation and became certified through NCTRC in 2020. While at Eastern, she completed her internship at DMC's Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan where she found her passion for working with the TBI/SCI population. She has been an active member of MTRA since 2019 and served on the board as a student representative for one year before she graduated. In 2020, Riley was hired as a CTRS where she gained experience working in an inpatient rehabilitation setting for adults with TBI/SCI, mental health challenges, and substance use disorders. She led the facility's animal and equine assisted therapy program, incorporating therapeutic activities with animal and equine interactions with the goats, rabbits, and horses. She also was a part of the interdisciplinary team at the facility's 30-day transitional program, providing Rec Therapy services for retired athletes and veterans. After the company transitioned into an inpatient behavioral health facility, she gained experience working with a variety of populations including adults with Autism, intellectual disabilities, and developmental disabilities. Riley is passionate about helping her clients find what brings them joy.

In her freetime she loves doing anything art (especially painting), playing volleyball, kayaking, and going on outdoor adventures with her dog.
