Jessica Spooner

Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist

Jessica earned her Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation from Grand Valley State University in 2011 after completing her internship at Spectrum Health Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Jessica started her career as a CTRS with Spectrum Health and is where her experience working with those with a traumatic brain injury began. As a student and professional, Jessica served on the Board of Directors for the Michigan Therapeutic Recreation Association for 16 years.

In 2012, Jessica began working as a Life Enrichment and Volunteer Coordinator at Georgetown and Cambridge Manor Assisted Living and Memory Care. During her time there, she completed her Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Certification as well as a Community Life Certification through Senior Living University. In 2017, Jessica joined HCRT and always looks forward to meeting new people and helping her clients “get off the sidelines and back into life!” Jessica is a mom to two, enjoys being outdoors with her family, reading, and gardening.
