Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist

Chelsea earned her Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation from Eastern Michigan University in 2016 and an Associates of Applied Science in Business Health Service Management from Mott Community College in 2011. Chelsea become certified through NCTRC in 2016. Chelsea currently works at Chelsea Hospital in the in-patient rehabilitation unit. She treats patients that are recovering from TBI/SCI, strokes, amputations, cancer diagnosis and organ transplants. She currently leads Chelsea Hospital’s monthly stroke support group. Past work history includes working with individuals within SAR/SNF, in-patient psychiatric, and skilled neuro rehabilitation. Chelsea has special interests in program development, adaptive yoga, accessible gardening, aquatic therapy and community reintegration. Chelsea takes great pride in providing top-notch care and accessible recreation/leisure opportunities to all individuals she serves.

During Chelsea's free time she enjoys traveling with her husband, being in nature, practicing yoga and celebrating life with family & friends.
