Jaclyn Estes

Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist 

Jaclyn graduated from Eastern Michigan university in 2012 with a bachelors of science in Therapeutic Recreation. Prior to finding Recreation Therapy she attended the University of the Pacific in Northern California and was pursuing a degree in Music Therapy with a concentration in voice. It was while studying Music Therapy that she discovered Recreational Therapy and fell in love with it! 

Jaclyn completed her internship in Auburn Hills at Havenwyck Psychiatric Hospital and continued to work with adults and children with mental illness after. 

In addition to home and community based Recreation Therapy, Jaclyn has experience working with individuals with not only mental health but substance abuse, cognitive and developmental delays, geriatrics, Alzheimer’s and Dementia care , and now traumatic brain injury. 

In her free time Jaclyn enjoys spending time with her four children, family and friends. She also enjoys singing, going to see live music, doing makeup, traveling, doing arts and crafts, cooking, baking, playing games and cards and getting outside whenever the weather is nice! 

Jaclyn hopes to use her knowledge to help clients overcome obstacles and live their best lives!
