Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist

Breanna received a BS from Central Michigan University in Therapeutic Recreation in 2019. Breanna has grown up and always been passionate about being involved in leisure and helping others which led her to her dream job as a C.T.R.S. Breanna has experience working with a variety of populations including: traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, mental health, developmental disabilities, geriatrics, and substance abuse.

In spring of 2019, Breanna completed an internship at Willowbrook Rehabilitation Center working with brain injury/spinal cord injury population and continued to work part time for 1 year. Then Breanna worked for Behavioral Center of Michigan a short-term adult mental health facility. Breanna worked there just under 2 years full time and is currently contingent at their hospital while working for HCRT. Breanna enjoys learning about new activities to further educate herself on what is available in the community for her clients to get them engaged in learning a variety of leisure and coping skills.

In her free time, Breanna actively participates in sports, music outlets, art and craft outlets, reading, yoga, fitness, cooking, spending time with family & friends, petting her cats, and engaging in outdoor activities including, hiking, biking, and camping.
